Flooding in Kenya

As I have discussed in an earlier post, flooding can have some huge effects on populations. Today, May 22nd, Kenya is facing this problem right now. They are facing huge storms that are causing major flooding throughout many villages. This flooding is also washing away many of their houses and displacing families. This is not the only disaster that Kenya has faced. In the past couple of years, they have faced floods, droughts and even wildfires. All of these disasters have Climate Change to thank. Most of Kenya's population are farmers. Therefore, a lot of them are also without food. 194 people have been killed so far and 100,000 displaced. They are in a huge need of assistance, mainly food and supplies.
